| Abstract: | This study aimed to identify the impact of roads and bridges layout in organization and the flow of traffic in Khartoum state, from 2010 m- 2015. The study involved the development of Khartoum State from oldest to newest in terms of physical planning, which includes road and bridge layout. It has gone through several stages for the three large cities. Then recently came in 2010 the planning of Khartoum State recently in 2010 came in constructing internal and external roads and Nilotic bridges, these are among the major projects handled by the state, represented by the Ministry of Engineering Affairs and Infrastructure in the state. The study also included the planning of roads and bridges since independence until now pointing that in physical planning and development in the construction of roads, bridges link between three major cities and their importance and concept for the population. The study examined the impact of natural and human factors, in the planning of Khartoum state, which regards the surface topography, and its impact on roads. As well as rapid urban growth, which led to a large population increase as a result of demographic factors, And internal migration increase focus ratio in the infrastructure of the state, because it is an attracting population center, impact on the movement of people, which will require increased public and private transportation and consequent upon many factors including the pressure on roads and bridges, and thus the occurrence of traffic bottlenecks and congestion and the occurrence of accidents and collisions traffic. The study also contained in the form of road marking, in Khartoum state and the road network in the study area and the impact of economic, political and social factors. The thesis also touched on the problems of planning for roads and bridges, including natural and human, technical and administrative deficiencies. The researcher was also able to develop solutions and treatments for the movement of traffic in the state of Khartoum, in addition to setting goals and visions for future planning in the areas of traffic congestion. |
