Abstract: Polymer solar cells are one of the promising alternative energies which can be easily manufactured with low coast. In this work polymer cells with different type of organic dyes (coumarin , henna , curcuma) are characterized in laser laboratory of Alneelen University in Khartoum. Andthe efficiencies of these polymer solar cells were studied.The voltage current characteristics indicate that their characteristics resemble that of ordinary solar cells. It was found that the efficiencies of coumarin , henna and curcuma are 0.033% , 0.41% , and 0.53% respectively , the comparisons with each other shows that the efficiency of curcuma cell it’s the highest followed by henna and coumarin. This arrangement is related to color of the natural dye or chemical origin. Where curcuma is more transparent and transmits light more than henna.
