Abstract: The importance of this study stems from the fact that water security is an eminent threat for Sudan due to increase of the population and the misuse of water as well as the critical economic. The quality in treated waste water should be environmentally safe and hence could be used for various purposes such as irrigation and building.TheArmyHead Quarter waste water station was taken as a case study, being one of most important waste water treatment plant in Khartoum state. The study attempted to investigate the operation of that station, equipment used for the treatment of waste water, and the constraints facing the station. The study was meant to see whether the treated waste water is in accordance with the standards set by the Sudanesestandard and metrology organization as well as considering the possibility of using the treated water for irrigation. The Null Hypothesis of this study was that the recycling of the waste water and its reuse for irrigation is very important, on the assumption that it is in line with national guidelines and standards. The treated water was tested for indicators for the suitability of the treated waste water for irrigation. The methodology of the study was based on the descriptive analytical scientific method, which was comprised of field work and the subsequent analysis of the waste water samples. The results of the analysis, of the waste waterproved that the values of (B.O.D), (C.O.D), (T.S) for inlet and outlet in the first sample were (330-76.8), (560-160), (507-215) respectively and the values of B.O.D and C.O.D are not agreement with SSMO standards because the amount of inlet sewage larger than design capacity of the plant. In the second sample the values were (114-30),(285-68.5),(351-215) respectively and these values are in agreement with SSMO standards, also results revealed that the treated water was relatively good standard. The station is perhaps facing overload stress, it is noted that the treated waste water can be used for irrigation.
