Abstract: What is the effectiveness of drills language outlines in the development of language proficiency for Arabic language learners in umaru musa yar, adua university faculty of humanities Department of Arabic language. This study aims to: Pinpointing enough linguistic techniques that must be possessed by someone learning Arabic Language at the university of Umar Musa Yar ,adua, the faculty of Psychology, Arabic Language department. Introduction to understanding contemporary linguistic training, presenting a sample of linguistic workouts using appropriate techniques, for teaching the linguistic workouts to help improve students, so they will be competent enough to rightfully use the language. The researcher used the demonstrative and the experimentation methodology, so he used the following materials: Teaching procedure: 1. To detect a number of educated people and teachers to answer interlocutory questions at the university of Umar Musa Yar, adua located at Katsina, Nigeria. 2. Organization of linguistic quizzes by lecturers in order to detect the weakness and strength of the students. 3. Noticing that, the researcher was once part of the teachers of this specialization, and he was teaching language training as a subject. This lesson was at some instance demonstrative, and at some level too experiment based, for students who were pursuing their Bachelor’s degree (BSc) in the Arabic language, at the University. Also the researcher used statistical approach to analyze the detections and the experiments.  This study comprises seven chapters: The first chapter talks about the foundations of the research, the second chapter discusses previous studies, and the third and fourth chapter deals with the theoretical scope: The third one contains, language sufficiency and the fourth, language traineeship, and each comprises three parts, but the fifth chapter deals with the procedure of field studies. The sixth chapter encompasses, data presentation and analyses, and discussion of the outcomes. The last, seventh chapter contains conclusion, paramount results, recommendations, suggestions, and the list of sources and references of the research. The research discovered a number of outcomes, the core among them are as follows: 1. The language practice used by the department is not very effective, because of lack of the use of different types of strategy used by different linguistics. 2. During the analyses, it appeared that, distant tests is a solution according to the researcher, effective training has got a relation with the usage of so many types of linguistic training skills of the language and its components. 3. For each of the exercises, being it (moral, communication, mechanical), it is an important routine, in the development of the four parts of a language: listening, speaking, reading and writing, and the aspects of the language. 4. The appropriate way to study and practice the language is;the complete method. 5. The listed prevailing contemporary linguistic practice are (mechanical, moral, and communication). 6. The characteristics of the department is always in-line with modern methods, in the study of Arabic language, because it deals with different kinds of texts, that improves students’ efficiency. Just that it does not provide needed efficiency for someone studying Arabic language at this department. Instead, it has unrestricted it in the practice of linguistic skills without pointing out the most important aspect of it. 7. The current lesson has determined (6) important learning efficiencies, for Arabic language literates at the university of Umar Musah Yaradoa, and they are:  Issues on dictation  Glossaries of words  Administrative writing  Issues on grammar  Common errors in the language.
