dc.description.abstractThis study aimed with the evaluating of workers' safety procedures from chemical risks. The case study of the customs lab - Khartoum in the period from 2010-2017, the objective of this study is to assess the chemical risks in the Sudanese Customs Authorities and their reasons, and the extent to which the employees are familiar with the regulations and procedures followed in the safety of the customs lab. The study also assumed that the application of safety measures to prevent chemical risks in the customs laboratory leads to the prevention of occupational hazards for the employees. The training programs applied raise awareness, thus reducing occupational risks. The researcher adopted used in this study the descriptive analytical method as wells the case study, also preliminary information’s were collected through the field study using observation and identification as research tools to be distributed to technicians and workers in the customs lab to address the analytical aspects. A simple random sample was used for the similarity of the study community, questioners analyzed by use the (SPSS) program (). The study reached several results, including training and training among workers, and that the great attention of senior management of occupational safety and health reduces the risks of chemicals, and there is coordination with external bodies related to occupational safety and health program. The study put forward several recommendations, the most important of which is the importance of establishing a specialized unit for supervising the work of occupational safety and health in the Customs Authority. It also recommended the importance of the senior management commitment to the activities and plans and programs of occupational safety and health and giving them top priority and the need to make medical records showing periodic medical examinations and reports of accidents and injuries of workers, A committee that clearly performs all functions related to occupational safety and healthen_US
