دور مؤسسات المجتمع المدني في تحقيق الديمقراطية ( دراسة حالة السودان )

Abstract

The role played by civil society organizations in the humanitarian, social and legal fields in the public life movement has led to a lack of awareness and interest in community initiatives in public affairs outside the governmental framework and the process of democratic transformation that civil society has developed from 1980 until today. Therefore, the study aimed to clarify the role of civil society organizations in Sudan. Civil society institutions are among the most important modern mechanisms based on respect, tolerance and cooperation, and renounce violence, exclusion, and social and political marginalization between state and society. The basic assumptions are that there are relationships between civil society institutions and governments, which makes them express their opinions in a peaceful manner and present their views freely. Civil society organizations have played roles in democratic and democratic experiences in Sudan, as well as building democracy, so that the existence of community institutions makes individuals feel secure in terms of achieving their interests and demands. The study showed the active role of political parties, trade unions and professional associations in the structure of the state. Sudan is a democratic experiment from which it can be governed by success, including failure in all institutions, so faced the Sudanese democracy through the transformations to many challenges and obstacles.
