dc.description.abstractThe study dealt with the subject of criteria for selection of employees and their role in achieving efficiency of performance - Case study of International University of Africa (Human Resources Management). The problem of research was to know and study the policies followed and to study the selection criteria and their role in achieving efficiency in business organizations. The objective of the research is to find out the general criteria for selection, appointment and knowledge of selection policies at the University of Africa. The study was based on a number of hypotheses. The first is that the scientific criteria in the selection of employees lead to the efficiency of the performance of the organization and the good planning of human resources and the construction of organizational structures helps in achieving the objectives of the organization. Therefore, the researcher used the descriptive analytical method and the case study methodology. The research found a statistically significant relationship between the scientific criteria and the selection of workers. There was also a statistical significance between the good planning of human resources and the building of organizational structures to achieve the objectives of the establishment. The results also found that the university did not complete the construction of its organizational structures and the existence of a large gap between certified and occupied jobs. The research also found that there is a large turnover, leading to the failure of any policy of selection and appointment. The research recommended a number of recommendations, the most important of which is the administration of the university to review the policies of selection and recruitment and the trend towards attention to workers and work on their stability and reduce the rate of work and activate the work of the union to more attention to workers and defend their rights and knowledge of their duties.en_US
