dc.description.abstractThe research dealt with family upbringing and its relation to the achievement of the secondary school students in order to try to develop solutions for the reasons that affect them negatively in secondary school achievement. The problem of research was in the absence of academic excellence in general and individual excellence among students in Khartoum secondary schools. Poor achievement, scholastic failure, shallow cultural level, and inability to think clearly are obvious. The research aims to identify:  Family upbringing and its role in the achievement of students in secondary schools in Khartoum..  The impact of the social and economic status of the family on the academic achievement of students in secondary schools in Khartoum.  The effect of the educational level of the family in the achievement of the students in secondary schools in Khartoum.  The effect of the proper formation of the family and its role in the development of the creative side of the students of secondary schools in Khartoum. The study followed the descriptive approach, and the questionnaire was used as a tool for collecting information through random sampling. The researcher has reached the results to prove the validity of the hypotheses mentioned:  The rule of good relations between family members, and the contribution of everyone in the guidance of children have a significant role in the high rate of educational attainment.  Not wasting families and spending on educating their children and the allocation of appropriate daily expenses for them, motivates children to move towards academic achievement.  The establishment of family recreational trips involving all members of the family have a clear impact on the direction of children towards academic achievement.  The school's wide courtyard and the presence of activities in school increase the desire of children in their studies and increase the positive side of the student. The research concluded with several recommendations,  The schools to establish periodic meetings to follow up the behavior of students and their level of achievement and one of the parents commitment to attend.  Teachers to alert families to the need to be careful to attend meetings of the school to see the educational process for children.  Specialists in the field of education and psychology to guide and guide parents and teach them methods of education right and scientific means of mass communication.  Schools to establish a school friends project to work on the realization and implementation of school projects for improving the school environment and thus educational achievementen_US
