| dc.description.abstract | The research dealt with the history course of the third grade secondary school (evaluation study) from the point of view of the teachers. The purpose of the research is to identify the strengths and weaknesses, through studying the elements of the curriculum and identifying the objectives of the course, evaluating the content of the course, identifying the teaching methods used in teaching this course, identifying the teaching aids specified in this course, Evaluation of this course. The research sample consisted of (39) (male and female teachers) from the total of (144) research community represented by male and female teachers of history teachers in the secondary stage in the municipality of East Nile (Sharq Anneal). The researcher used the descriptive analytical method, and the research tool is the questionnaire. The Results: The goals of history course for the third grade are related to the general objectives and the goals of the secondary stage, they are suitable for the students of the stage. The content is suitable and logical and timely and achieves the objectives that were set previously. The teaching methods used in teaching this course are suitable; the lecturing method is most widely used in teaching this course, various methods are used in teaching this course but are not sufficient, the evaluation methods used are limited to only one method, which is written tests and is held several times a year, namely monthly tests and experimental testing. The research recommendations:- There is a need in reviewing the objectives of the history course, making it more comprehensive, reviewing the content, introducing some contemporary topics, diversifying the teaching methods and introducing modern teaching methods. There is a need for specific teaching aids and for continuous evaluation of the history course in the secondary stage. | en_US |
