dc.description.abstractTradition and Development in Africa Today) is a book published in 1990 by United Nation Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), one of its concerns is the interest in the field of education. Established in 1945 and the headquarter is located in Paris - the French capital. The book consists of eight papers that were presented by experts. I have translated the first four of them included in 1 to 4 from pp. 15-70. The first chapter was written by the Nigerian professor Wande Abimbola, talks about Decolonizing African thought. And the second chapter was written by Alexandre S. Adande, (Benin) talks about Tradition and development in Benin. The third chapter was written by Pierre-Louis Agondjo-Okawe, (Gabon) talks about Tradition, law, health and development. Finally the fourth chapter was written by professor I. A. Akinjogbin, it includes the writer's Reflections on the Nigerian experience.en_US
