Abstract

The study titled with "the Effectiveness of Dialogue Programs in Solving the Social Issues in Sudan applying on (Mahatta Wosta) Program at Al Shoroog TV Channel 2012-2013 ". The problem study focused on the effectiveness of (Mahatta Wosta) Program in dealing with the social issues, the study also aim to got acquainted with the played role of the dialogue programs in solving the social issues besides spotlight on the some social issues that addressed by the program and contribute in the solution as well as evaluate the performance of the dialogue programs in the Channel. The study depends upon the Historical Method in recount information and Descriptive Analytical Method in describing program. The study prepare a questionnaire – the main tool- for two samples, 1- quality sample (25 persons): includes media men, University professors and workers for media corporations and relevant figures in the media field. 2- Random sample (75 persons): includes the public (Receptive Audience) and the researcher prepared an Interview Method as well. The study consists four chapters which divided into sections. The study resulted that Al Shoroog TV Channel, via (Mahatta Wosta) Program, has addressed many social issues of public interest and contribute in solving it. Issues of Woman, Child and compact the harmful habits were the most issues that the program has succeeded in solving them in accordance to the questionnaire except the recruitment issue not solve through the program. The program committed with the scientific approved standards in preparation and presentation. The researcher presents some recommendations such as provide more social issues at other States for dialogue and not just focusing in the Capital issues.
