| dc.description.abstract | The problem of this research is research in two main questions which include, do organizations have the knowledge about the concepts and strategic planning, and do the institutions study the environment to encounter the crisis. This study aims to identify the role of strategic planning in crisis management which encounters institutions, and to identify the importance of strategic planning and its dimensions, in addition to the elements of effective strategic planning, and to identify the factors that should be taken care of by the administration, which help mitigate the effects of crises, Risk and institutional crises. The descriptive analytical approach was used through depending on the personal interview with Qatar Charity Director as a method of data collection. In addition, SPSS has been used to analyze the data. The results of the study showed that there is no crisis management department in Qatar Charity, and the strategic planning in the institutions contributes to reducing the potential problems' and the lack of clarification of the staff reduces the effectiveness of crisis management .The lack of involvement of the staff in the strategic planning is considered as an obstacle to solving the problems; rather it reveals weaknesses and strength in the institution. And strategic planning provides information which is useful in decision-making and problem solving, and increases the visibility of employees in crisis management. The results of the study also show that the application of strategic planning requires staff with high scientific qualifications and long experience in strategic planning. The study recommended several recommendations, the most important of which was the necessity and quality of a specialized crisis management department in the organization in order to increase the effectiveness and speed of decision making in case of emergency crises, that require rapid decision-making. | en_US |
