dc.description.abstractThis research aims at clarifying the role of local government in activating the implementation of environmental health programs. The second chapter deals with local governance and its role in detail. In the third chapter, the study dealt with the health and pollution of the environment and the fight against this. It was then used to talk about development and society and then the media and its role in the sanitation of the environment. In the fourth chapter, I spoke about the administrative unit of the department. It designed a questionnaire and used the analytical descriptive method to analyze its data, which resulted in good results, the most important of which are the following: Local government leads to the development of the local community through the election of the conferees and the preparation of future plans. The participation of the public has a role in the success of environmental health programs from their application to programs. Recent media programs contribute to the success of environmental sanitation. The researcher concluded the following recommendations: Training of environmental health workers in the unit, supporting the unit with specialized staff in the field of environmental sanitation.en_US
