Abstract

Abstract This research tackled the subject of: the problems of economic development in the African developing states. It aimed at broaching the important problems and obstacles experienced by the African developing states. The importance of this research stems from its concern with the issue of economic development which came to acquire an increasing attention from all states of the world, and especially of the African developing states. The researcher laid down several hypotheses and the main ones among them are : most of the African states suffer from their inability to achieve the economic development. Development requires security and political stability, and dissemination of developmental awareness amongst the community’s individuals. the achievement of the sustainable and balanced development contributes to the realization of more welfare to the people. To ascertain the validity of those hypotheses the researcher adopted the historical / descriptive methods for the study and he arrived, at the end of the study, to important findings and among them: the deficiency of finance in the economic development projects in the Sudan is considered one of the great problem of economic development. The insecurity and political instability are consider among the obstacles which impede the implementation of many economic development projects in the Sudan. The lack of awareness with the development issues besides illiteracy is considered among the problems facing development in the Sudan. Following the main findings, the researcher submitted several recommendations and important among them are: for the achievement of development it is imperative to provide the security and political stability. To undertake the dissemination of awareness with the issues of development and its importance. For the achievenent of the economic development , it is important to provide the necessary finance to the developments projects.
