Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the investment performance of theKhartoum Stock Exchange and assess its role in bringing abouteconomic development for the period 2004 - 2009 AD To achievethese goals has been the use of descriptive and analytical style,has crystallized the problem of this study to answer the main question is the following: • Is there an evolution in performance of the Khartoum StockExchange in terms of trading volume and market value of sharesand working capital? The most important assumptions of this study became important sectors (agricultural, industrial) the proportion of appropriatemarket value of working capital compared to other sectors andrepresented the results of the study in that there is a fluctuation in the performance of the Khartoum Stock Exchange in terms oftrading volume and market value of shares and working capital, particularly in the past 2008-2009 m, which underscores lack ofdevelopment in recent years, probably because of instability in theinstability of the exchange rate and the global crisis. Finally, the study recommends the following: - • The involvement of companies and institutions in the regions toimprove and develop centers and converted into a public joint stock companies and the establishment of companies, financial analysis, which in turn provides the information and data to investors quickly and accurate.
