dc.description.abstractThis research is entitled “Effectiveness of Conversation Method in Improving Arabic Speaking Skills for Qur’anic Madrasa in Tanzania-Zanzibar”. The aim of the study was to determine teachers’ views on the effectiveness of conversation methods toward Arabic speaking skills in Qur’an schools. The researcher used descriptive method as a road map toward data collection by using questionnaire and observation tool methods. Questionnaire and interview have used to collect teachers’ views on the importance and recommendations of the method while observation was used to discover students progressive in Arabic speaking skills improvement. In making the study scientific, the reasonable number of population was considered by using simple random sampling. 100 madrasa teachers were selected out of 500 teachers from 100 Qur’an madrasa in Zanzibar Town. The data collected were analyzed by using both qualitative and quantitative approaches. The results showed that conversation method is considered as an important method to almost teachers interviewed. The method seemed to converge to all madrasa of all level. Moreover, the study discovered that even though the method is predominant, still teachers lack effective skills in the use of the method. This study ended with recommendation on the improvement of effectiveness of the conversation method in teaching Qur’anic Madrasa. The first recommendation is on insuring that teachers pass in training by using universally curriculum. Two, teachers should be empowered on the use of Arabic language fluently. Finally, Arabic speaking competition at the madrasa level, between madrasa should be encouraged and promoted.en_US
