| dc.description.abstract | This research translates fifty-nine pages from critical study of the novel called "A Portrait of the Artist as A young Man" is the first novel by Irish writer” James Joyce” It shows story of the boy "Stephen Dedalus" –the fictional personality of Joyce – grew up in Irelan in nineteenth century . It traces from the early childhood till the time of early manhood , the intellectual and spiritual developments of the young Stephen , passes through a succession of influences which exert claims upon his conscience , ambition and outlook, though the successive dilemmas ,the complicated traditional and religious beliefs ,the various stages are achieved his artistic development .
