dc.description.abstractAbstract: Subject: Electronic Journalism and its Implications for Reading Paper Journalism among Staff, an Empirical Study on the Ministries of Information, Communication and Information Technology, from the period 2015 to 2017. This research focused on several topics, including: the extent of the electronic press's reflection on the readability of the paper and its future, and the identification of the electronic press and measuring its reading in government institutions. The problem of research comes through the impact and reflection of the electronic press on the newspaper paper, however this effect did not affect the readability only, but the distribution and editorial content and the form of output. Nevertheless, the researcher used the historical and descriptive methodologies with the help of research tools of analyzing the data and interviews applied to the research community, which included the employees of the ministries of media, communications and information technology and a number of experts. Also, the research came in four chapters: the first chapter deals with the methodological framework of research, and the second chapter is under the heading of electronic journalism through the emergence and development of electronic journalism, the features of electronic newspapers and their types, and e-newspapers.Chapter three comes under the title of comparison between electronic and paper journalism through the editorial, and in terms of output, and the impact of electronic journalism on the paper press. Also, the fourth chapter contains the applied study beginning with the definition of the field of study and then the procedures of the field study and discussion. Moreover, the research came out with a number of results, including: the electronic press is more widely used in governmental institutions in terms of reading, which has affected the distribution of paper newspapers. In addition, the electronic press also responds to the need for readers to obtain information in a timely and interactive manner, and use it for audio-visual conferences making them more attractive and exciting than their paper-based counterparts. The researcher recommended the provision of mechanisms to control the electronic press so as to be more credible and strengthen the Internet to be extended to all geographical areas, as well as increase the sources of information for newspapers to occupy the position of a prominent in the forefront of journalism.en_US
