Abstract

This research deals with 'Tafseer Al-Mobsir li Noor Al Quran', 'the interpretation of observer of the light of the Quran' by the contemporary interpreter Nayla Hashim Sabri, which is composed of eleven volumes, through a descriptive study aimed at highlighting the most important topics of the tafseer, explaining its approach to interpretation and showing a living example of a woman who interpreted the complete Holy Quran. The research deals with the author's origin, her scientific and practical life, her era and her environment. Then the research describs her book, 'Tafseer Al-Mobsir li Noor Al Quran', 'the interpretation of observer of the light of the Quran', and then explainsher methodology in the interpretation with cited narrations of all kinds. The research highlights the method of interpretation in the verses of rulings, and mentioning the views of the schools of thought and then the most likely opinion, as well as her approach to the linguistics points in her interpretation, and her methodology in the sciences of the Qur'an, as she has given special attention to it. The research also tackles her methodology in the Quranic story, the expeditions and the seerah or biography of the Prophet peace be upon him, as well as her methods towards verses referring to modern science. The research concluded by mentioning the old and modern resources used in the interpretation, which were 188 references. The interpretation was characterized by its simple and smooth style, its contemporary language understood by the public, its reference to contemporary developments, the linking of the verses to reality, the benefits and wisdoms of the verse, and the discussion of some issues extensively due to their importance, as well as being free from weak or fabricated narrations, Israelite narrations, and strange or abnormal opinions.
