| dc.description.abstract | This study aims to identify the availability of competencies of planning and preparing lessons for biology teachers to teach health education in course of biology for the second grade secondary school and the extent of his knowledge of the goals of health education in biology and his knowledge of the content of the biology and it links with the health education. This study also aimed to find out how the knowledge of biology teacher with the teaching methods which commonly used in the teaching the course of biology and the extent of the contribution of educational methods, types and their role in the upgrading of professional development for teachers of biology and how effective they are. This study also aims to familiar biology teacher with the methods of measurement and evaluation used in health education and the interesting of biology teacher in teaching health education in biology course and learn statistical function differences between teachers of biology in teaching health education in biology that attributable to the variable of academic qualification. This study contains four chapters: Chapter one titled: the basics of the research, and the second chapter entitled: theoretical framework and previous studies, so this chapter was contains a number of sections, Section One : for biology teacher efficiency and the second contains: the efficiency of biology teacher and his knowledge of the scientific course, the third section contain on the biology and its approach, the fourth section contains a health Education, Finally: the previous studies and its connections to this study. The researcher followed in this study descriptive method in addition to the use of a questionnaire as a tool to collect information and data from the study sample consisting of 20 teachers at the secondary level –Khartoum Locality were chosen randomly from the study community which contain (62) teachers (male & female) working in (52) schools, including (24) for girls and 28 for boys. The questionnaire used in this study contain six axes titles were as follows: the availability of competencies of planning and preparation of lessons, the goals of health education in biology, linking biology with the health education, the extent of knowledge of biology teacher on the methods of teaching used in the health education, in addition to the extent to which educational methods, types and their role in the upgrading of professional growth of biology teacher, finally the extent of knowledge of biology teacher with the methods of measurement and the evaluation in the course of health education. Through this study, the researcher found some of results, including: that the teachers of biology available for their efficiency to teach health education through biology and the goals of biology achieve the objectives of health education and teaching methods and the variety of educational method which help the student to understand and accommodate the course of health education, as there are interest on the part of biology teachers to teach health education, so there is no statistically significant differences between the biology teachers attributed the academic qualification, and that is because of long-experience of teaching position . | en_US |
