Abstract

Praise be to God, prayer and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family and peace and recognition of a lot, and after that: I thank God Almighty that helped me to translate the pages (1 to 78) from a book (Darfur: The absent truth), which was written by a group of Sudanese writers and released by The Sudanese Media Centre Foundation in 2005, in 248 pages . The book is one of the most important books about the conflict in Darfur, and reflects the reality of what is happening on the ground, and frustrate Western media attempts to distort the image of Sudan and directed differently to the fact that the conflict image in Darfur. the translator consider the importance of this part of the book, and take advantage of what is listed as information to be a reference for the Strategic and Political Studies researchers whose looking for the truth and those interested in the field . Among the most prominent difficulties that I faced there are some words rote in local languages in the Darfur region. As well as the presence of more than one meaning of certain words that requires understanding of the nature of the Darfur region. It has been overtaken by the profit of the period that I spent in Darfur earlier that year and a half. also I exert my knowledge as well have been made for the selection of the meanings that I saw it appropriate and reflect the origin and intended meaning , also there are some wards I wrote it as its in Arabic letters. In this translation, I use some dictionaries, including Almawred Dictionary and Advance English Learners dictionary. With this and with the effort you put, I did not surprise for the observations and correction of the defense committee and the supervisor and I’m pleasure for that much mind to adopt.
