Abstract: The study dealt with the role of strategic management in enhancing competitiveness. The research problem was that some banks in Sudan do not apply strategic management in the modern scientific concept due to the lack of knowledge of the importance of the role of strategic management. This has negatively impacted the competitiveness of these banks. The importance of the scientific study to enhance the knowledge field of strategic management and know its role in achieving the competitiveness of FIS Islamic Bank. Providing them with information on study variables to contribute to achieving sustainable competitiveness of the Bank. The study aimed to identify the basic concepts of strategic management, the possibility of reaching results through which can formulate some of the recommendations that help the management of the bank and related parties to develop and ensure continuity in the banking market. The hypotheses of the study are as follows: There is a statistically significant relationship between strategic management and achieving the competitiveness of Sudan's Faisal Islamic Bank. This study is based on the deductive, inductive and historical approaches. The study reached a number of results. The bank has a clear strategic vision that determines its current and future activities. It has the basic pillars of competitiveness represented in the total organizational, management and technological competencies necessary to enable it to achieve the objectives of the institution. The Bank's management is committed to the budget set out in the strategic plan. The study came up with a number of recommendations, including the management of the bank in the formulation of his philosophy of interest in the evaluation and beliefs of the culture of society and the interest of the management of the bank to involve all employees in the preparation and formulation of the strategy.
