Abstract

Title: The impact of the use of technology in communication between departments of the Organization (Case Study on the Greater Nile Petroleum Operating Company) 2008-2014. This study aims at identifying the reality of communication techniques between departments of the institutions and revealing the aspects of strength and weakness in the communication techniques used in those institutions. The problem of research is about none existence of the optimum employing technology used by the organizations departments, so, the main hypotheses of research is using technology in communication among organizations departments ,which lead to perform very fast and accurate reducing writing and restrict it to final reports. The Researcher chose the Greater Nile Petroleum Operating Company to conduct the study in order to see the scope of application of modern technologies in communication between the various departments in the company. The researcher adopted the descriptive approach (case study) based on primary sources of personal interviews, time frame: 2008-2014, spatial framework to the Greater Nile Petroleum ح Operating Company. Data was collected directly by personal interviews, descriptive approach and analysis and percentages . The study has come out with a number of results, such as cutting-edge communications technology helped in the exchange of information and therefore taking appropriate action with the required speed and accuracy; moreover, advanced communications technology reduced paperwork and confined it to the final reports. Some recommendations are provided, including: application of (ERP) program or applying other programs in the institutions which will reduce clerical work and support the Electronic Government Project; the institutions should pay attention to the advanced communication technologies that support the exchange of required information with speed and accuracy.
