| dc.description.abstract | This is assessment study for curriculum of mathematics of the Eighth class of basic stage from point of view of teachers of Al-Shohada Unit, Khartoum Locality. One of the most important objective of this study is to know the extent of appropriation of content of the curriculum with its goals, the extent of contribution of the curriculum to meeting the needs of teachers, and the effectiveness of methods used in the curriculum assessment. The researcher used the descriptive method in this study along with a questionnaire and that a random sample was taken from teachers of mathematics, third session, of Shohada unit. The researcher has reached to the following conclusions:- *Most of mathematics teachers of the third session are women who have long experience in teaching. *Most of mathematics teachers are graduates of education colleges, but they need continuous training. *Goals of curriculum of mathematics for eighth class needs revision and may be to some omission or addition. * The content is suitable to the time needed to teach it and the subject's logical serial should be put into the consideration , however, the content does not cope with technology and knowledge and here more things are needed to be done. * The knowledge of mathematics teachers about teaching techniques is medium , despite some of them know the suitable method from the content of the curriculum, however , the content of the curriculum requires diversification of methods of teaching. * Curriculum of the eight class focusses on keeping the subject in mind and techniques of assessment in the textbook need some revision and ز that the teachers need to be acquired with the different techniques of assessment. :In the light of the study, the researcher recommends that * Teachers are to be informed about the goals of basic stage and goals of teaching of mathematics. * The content, or part of it, should be linked with computers, so as to introduce technology in teaching of mathematics. * Methods of teaching are to be developed along with informing the teachers with these methods. *Teachers of mathematics are to be well-prepared before and on job training. * Attention is to be paid to test systems and techniques of assessmentEnd. | en_US |
