Abstract: This study deals with the difficulties of teaching Arabic language facing the teachers of the Arabic language at the secondary level in the state of Zanzibar, which aims to achieve the following: - Identify the difficulties of teaching the Arabic language attributed to the curriculum. - Detect the difficulties of teaching Arabic language related to the teacher. - Identify the difficulties facing the student. - Identification of difficulties related to the administrative side. - Suggest appropriate solutions to eliminate the difficulties faced by the Arabic language teacher in secondary schools in Zanzibar. The researcher used the analytical descriptive method in addition to using closed and open questionnaires as a tool for study. The results of the study proved the validity of study hypotheses as follows: - There are difficulties in teaching Arabic language related to the curriculum. - There are difficulties in teaching Arabic language related to the teacher. - There are difficulties in teaching Arabic language related to the student. - There are difficulties in teaching Arabic language related to educational administration. Among the important recommendations of the study are the following: - Officials should work on preparing, qualifying and training teachers of Arabic language, in order to develop and improve their performance and enable them to carry out the process of teaching the Arabic language. - Officials should review the objectives of the curriculum and its content, with the aim of developing and improving it to suit the teaching of the Arabic language to non-Arabic speakers. - It is important to teach Arabic language through the four language skills before starting to teach grammar and morphology.
