| Abstract: | The main objective of this research is to design and build Instructional Package (IP), to assist in training programs and provide self- motivation tools for teachers who are engaged in distance learning training programs; and to test that IP in the field to evaluate their teaching skills and capabilities in managing classrooms, and to determine the possibility of utilizing the IP as self- professional training programs to aid trainee teachers engaged in the distance learning programs. The study population includes 25 students of education program form Sudan Open University, selected as a sample of study in the Khartoum Educational Section between, January 2017 to March 2017. The researcher used experimental method to assess the effect of the proposed IP on the development of targeted skills, the researcher also employed descriptive and analytical methods to review educational literature relevant to the study. Results obtained using the SPSS program, via average calculations and analyzing two way variation; the researcher reached the following conclusions: 1- Utilization of IP in applying educational programs to trainee teachers proved to be an effective tool, yielded positive results. 2- The IP helped delivering the training programs and increased self- motivation among trainees. 3- The proposed IP for self and independent studying helped developing the skills associated with using modern teaching and planning strategies and the classroom management. 4- The IP provided trainees with advanced tools which improved their teaching capabilities, in addition to developing skills. 5- The IP as a multiple educational outlets program considered and recognized the intellectual level differences among trainees, which supported the concept of self- study. Based on above results; the researcher recommended the following: A- Designing of IP to support self- study programs and professional development for trainees. B- Investing in programs that help trainees keeping up with the rapid pace of modern teaching techniques. C- Train teachers to design IP . D- Conducting further studies in the field of learning packages, to cover all subjects, and to be utilized as advanced training tools. |
