Abstract

This research entitled: “Sheik Ali Mustafa Yaqub Efforts to Preserve The Hadiths and Its Studies in Indonesia.” The researcher has worked through this study on presenting the efforts of Sheik Ali Mustafa Yaqub to preserve the hadiths and its studies in Indonesia. The study is focused on his works, which are arranged within this points: 1. Introduction of Republic of Indonesia, including its history, history of Islam in Indonesia, its political nature, governmental system, geographic facts, also economic and demographic facts. 2. Biography of Ali Mustafa Yaqub, including his name, his nom de guerre and surname, birthplace, his childhood, his teachers, and his death. That includes endorsements from Islamic scholars for him, some professional positions he had, and establishment of “Darus Sunnah International Institute for Hadiths Sciences”. 3. His contributions in study of Takhrij (Referencing) of hadiths, on that matter the study is relying on two of his books: a. Book entitled: “Problematic Hadiths” b. Book entitled: “Fabricated Hadiths about Ramadan” 4. His contributions in study of Hadiths criticism (Naqd), on that matter the study is relying on two of his books: a. Book entitled: “Criticism of Hadiths” b. Book entitled: “Al Imam Bukhari and His Method in Criticizing the Hadiths” 5. His contributions in Hadiths Contemporary Studies, on that matter the study is relying on two of his books: a. Book entitled: “Role of Hadiths Studies in Constructing Islamic Jurisprudence” b. Book entitled: “Al Aazami: The Patron of Prophet’s Hadiths” 6. His preferences in study of hadiths-based jurisprudence, on that matter the study is relying on four of his books: a. Book entitled: “Observing the Beginning of Ramadan, Shawwal, and Zulhijja Under Guidance of Quran and Hadith” b. Book entitled: “Prayer Direction Under Guidance of Quran and Hadith” c. Book entitled: “Interfaith Marriage Under Guidance of Quran and Hadith” d. Book entitled: “Halal and Haram Parameters in Matter of Food, Beverages, Medicines, and Cosmetics Under Guidance of Quran and Hadith” The researcher concludes his research by listing primary results and recommendations, hoping that Allah may make those results and recommendations remarkably useful.
