Abstract: This study deals with the role of the administrative leadership in the development of the performance of the institutions in application to the Sudanese customs. The problem of the study was in the following main question: What is the role of the administrative leadership in developing the performance of the institutions? This question is divided into a number of sub-questions: • What is the impact of effective leadership on the performance of institutions, the impact of leadership on the performance of institutions, the extent to which democratic leadership can affect the performance of institutions, the study aimed at the impact of effective leadership on the performance The study hypothesized that there is a statistically significant relationship between the effective leadership of the Sudanese customs authority and the performance of the institutions. There is a statistically significant relationship between the leadership of the authorities The study was based on the historical method, the analytical descriptive approach and the methodology of the case study. The study took a sample of the employees of the Customs Authority at their various levels of administration and their military rank. A random sample was selected A questionnaire was used to collect information from the sample of the study. The questionnaire included questions about personal data such as gender, age, academic qualification and years of experience. Five main axes were taken: Study hypotheses The sample was asked to determine their answers according to the five-step Lekette scale, which consists of five levels (Strongly Agree, Agree, Neutral, Disagree, Strongly Disagree) The statistical methods used in data analysis are graphs, In addition to the square test, such as the Alpha Carnage test and Pearson correlation coefficient for the variables and the statistical program SPSS. Through the analysis, the study reached a number of results, the most important of which are: The Customs Authority follows the principles of human relations in dealing with subordinates. The Customs Authority seeks to establish a culture of quality in work. This is what the two sides mentioned. The training in the Sudanese Customs Authority is in line with the customs customs strategies. The Customs Authority uses modern techniques that do not succeed in achieving their objectives. In light of these results, In quality, work to implement all the calls of the Kyoto Convention in facilitating and simplifying procedures, continuing external training for leaders and intermediate levels that will help to develop performance, careful follow-up of the implementation of strategic plans in the Sudanese Customs Authority to keep pace with International developments in risk management - Facilitating the movement of international trade.
