Abstract: The research’s Objective was to assess the role of centers of special needs in the treatment of speech disorders from the perspective of parents in Khartoum state. The researcher used the descriptive approach and applied the evaluation scale for the role of the centers on a sample of (145) subjects and the sample was chosen in a simple random way and the statistical packages program (SPSS) was used to reach the results including Pearson correlation coefficient, single community T-tests, independent sample T-test, and Crosscale wells test. The results were as follows: The parents' view of the role of special needs centers is marked in the treatment of speech disorders as mediocre. There are no differences in parents’ view towards the role of centers of special needs in the treatment of speech disorders depending on the gender variable. There are differences in parents’ view towards the role of centers of special needs in the treatment of speech disorders depending on the educational level of the parents. There are differences in parents’ view towards the role of centers of special needs in the treatment of speech disorders depending on the size and number of the family members. There are no differences in parents’ view towards the role of centers of special needs in the treatment of speech disorders depending on the birth order of the child. In conclusion, the researcher reached important recommendations, the most of which is that early intervention therapy is useful for the child and parents in the treatment of their child and the development of his condition, and centers also play the same role in assessing the situation and coordinating the services team.
