Abstract: This study aims to assess the grammar program designed to be taught in first year high school in Khartoum state - Bahri locality. The study applies the descriptive analytic method. Study group is consisted of 25 high schools teachers. Questionnaire was designed to collect data and be distributed to the study group. Statistical Package for Social Sciences ( SPSS ) is used to verify validity of the data collected where Excel is used to generate shapes and diagrams considered necessary to the illustration of the study. The grammar program designed to be taught in first year high school in Khartoum state - Bahri locality, has been evaluated accordingly. The study findings show that objectives of the grammar course are clear and suitable as far as students capabilities are concerned, contents help realize objectives and multifarious teaching methods are applied and resonate with nature of the grammar course. However, educational means do not help realize objectives. Methods applied to evaluation are comprehensive, gradual and diverse. According to these findings ,the study suggests a number of recommendations for further studies , inter alia, formulating objectives while taking into account the individual differences of the students, designing modern educational means that help materialize objectives of the grammar course and using modern
