Abstract

The study aimed to identify the role of the courses in Faculty of Education, RAF International University at Nairobi in acquising islamic values to students, and to know the extent of the relationship between the different courses by giving values from one course to another, and what are the obstacles that limit the effectiveness of courses in giving values to students. In this study, the researcher relied on the descriptive approach in view of its relevance to the objectives of the study. The study community consists of all the students of the college (60), all their guardians (60), and all the teaching staff in the college (15). The researcher applied the study tool to a random sample of (70) including the three groups. The most important results of the study are as follows: All courses of the faculty of Education have a major role in acquising Islamic values to students, The courses differ from one specialization to another in a degree that provides the students with Islamic values, There are some obstacles that limit the effectiveness of the courses in the provision of Islamic values. The main recommendations of the research are: The need for the colleges of education and teacher training institutions to include in the teacher education programs the Islamic values, Provide in-service training courses for the teaching staff, The professor should embody the Islamic values in his practices to be an example for his students. The researcher also suggested conducting similar studies on areas not covered in the current study.
