Abstract: This study includes social responsibility and its role in developing performance in companies. The main problem in study was revealed in this question: what is the role of social responsibility in developing petroleum companies performance in Hadhramaut? The study aims to demonstrate the level of commitment of Petro Masila Company in the social responsibility principles and its role in developing performance. The study investigated this main hypothesis: Is there any morale and statistical relationships between the social responsibility principles and developing petroleum companies performance. This study involved the analytic, descriptive and historical research methods. The most important results of the study are: There is a direct relation between the social responsibility principles and the development of performance in petroleum companies. Petro Masila Company`s commitment to the social responsibility and the level of performance is medium. Petro Masila Company's information is not practically accessible at any time. Also there is lack in opportunities equivalent in employments. As well the employments process in company's doesn't come up according to obvious and specific standards. The most important recommendations of the study are: Petro Masila Company shall be committed to the social responsibility principles as a consequence of its direct relation the development of performance in petroleum companies. It is recommended to develops the performance of the company in all dimension, as well the disclosure of information at any time. As well it should follow the principles of opportunities equivalent in employments process in companies. And it is recommended to come up employments process according to obvious and specific standards
