Abstract: This Research aims at identifying the opinion of Top Managements of the Public Sector in Sudan towards the activities of Public Relaon Departments. ( An applied study on the period ( 2011- 2013 ). in this Research the Researcher applied the Descriptive Methodology, as well as the questionnaire as an essential tool in order to obtain the elementary information . Institutions selected for this research are Ministry of Labour and Administrative Reformation , Ministry of Social Welfare and Giad Industrial Group. However, Samples of the Research consisted from the Departmenst Managers and their deputy managers . The Research contains Five (5) chapters. The First chapters deals with the overall methodical framework of the research while the second chapters deals with the formation and the aims of the public relations department. The third chapter outlines the trends and the imaginary impression depicted to the public relation. The Fourth chapter clarifies the relationship between the public relations departments and the other departments in the mentioned institutions. The last chapter however, is the on-field study of the research. The Research outcome: 1- The Researcher found that trends of top managements towards their public relation departments is positive a matter which can lead to the strengthening the status of public relation departments within the Organization Chart in the future. 2-The mission of public relation departments is clearly understood by the top managements. 3-The research confirms the existence of a positive understanding from the top management to the activities and programs carried out by the public relations departments. 4-The research refers to positive trends of higher institutions and to the importance of giving more attention to specialization enable the public relation departments to carry out their duties properly as any type of occupation needs specialized efforts in order to develop. Researcher’s Recommendations: The important Researcher recommends as follows:- 1-More attention is required to increase the positive trends of public relation departments. 2-It is important to choose the best qualified persons for the Public Relation Departments.
