dc.description.abstractThe research addressed strategic planning and effectiveness in media organizations management, it is important in the advancement and development of media institutions, and research aimed at defining the strategic planning, and to emphasize the importance of media organizations, that by studying the process of the subject under discussion to clarify the nature of strategic planning and the effectiveness, types and problems associated by the obstacles its case study on (channel Alshuroog satellite) in the period (2007 AD - 2013), and the difficulties faced the researcher, the lack of references on the subject of strategic planning media organizations, we used in research descriptive method, historical and address a number of questions and hypotheses most important of it: Do Media institutions management give strategic planning a great importance? To what extent does Alshuroog channel gave strategic planning great Important and does it have plans in place? The research concluded that a set of results the most important are; the importance of strategic planning in all areas and all the institutions, and that most media organizations in Sudan does not give the strategic planning required space, and its clarified to the researcher that the channel of Alshurooog satellite media organization working in strategic planning and has a clear plan derived from it's mission and vision, and from the results, the search reach to several recommendations most important of it; attention and inclusion of the strategic planning process in all institutions and all fields, and it must for every media organization to have a strategic plan, clear targets and milestones, and Alshuroog channel must hiring experts in economics, sociology, media and politics when developing strategic plans, and it must be for the channel to seeks for achieving what it planned for and could not be implemented yet, such as establishing a media center and a bouquet of other additional channels and others.en_US
