Abstract: The research aimed for evaluating methods of teaching the Holy Quran for high school students of Khartoum State – Khartoum Locality. It revealed the difficulties faced by the teachers of Holy Quran in their teaching for high school students, the researchers used the descriptive approach, also used the questionnaire as a tool for data collection also, it was selected random sample of teachers (male & female) of the Holy Quran at the secondary level school (private & general) – Khartoum Locality. The research found a combination of following results: - The research used teaching methods of the Holy Quran and is not achieving the goals of high school. - The Usage of Audio , visual aids are not sufficient as a method of teaching the Holy Quran at the secondary schools level. - Teachers of the Holy Quran at high school in Khartoum State, are facing some of the difficulties in teaching such as: A) Low experience B) Low training practice C) Much teaching hours. - The appropriate solutions for improving the methods of teaching the holy Quran must use more than one way of teaching students at that stage. Recommendations: - Improving and developing methods of teaching the Holy Quran; so as to achieve the desired goals of high school. - Provision of modern educational methods for teaching methods of Holy Quran at the high schools. - Training and qualification of teachers of Holy Quran for the use of modern methods at high school. - Pursuit of the concerned authorities (Ministry of Education) to find appropriate solutions for improving the methods of teaching the Holy Quran at the high secondary schools.
