Abstract: The aim of this study titled broadcasting and its role in distance learning to recognize the role played by radio in distance Education and stand on radio open university of Sudan Experience and degree of listening students to it and included Five chapters and used descriptive method the researcher used multi stages probability sample ,collected information Through questionnaire which distributed to sample Study ,which included (150) students in Khartoum state data Were analyzed by computer used (SPSS) program and account Frequency, percentage and (Chi) square test .has reached the Study, both theoretical applied the following results: 1-amajority of the respondents do not use radio in their study Remotely. 2- Weakness of students use of the open university of Sudan Radio on (FM) wave. 3- study indicates that 54% of the respondents sometimes use Other channel of telecommunication in their study remotely . 4- Majority of respondents are committed to neutrality in Preference in distance education Recommendations : 1-Exert more efforts to make radio open university of Sudan Attractive for students . 2- researcher recommends amending broadcast educational Programs of the times even to be Suitable with students Specially those working . 3- Increase training and capacity building staff working and Institutional building . 4- Exchange of experiences with Arabic and foreign Educational radio stations to take advantage of their Experience in this field .
