| Abstract: | The role of the Islamic Studies Teachers in Enhancing the Islamic Attributes in Secondary Schools in Gaza Provinces By: Salman Hassan Omran. Supervisor: Fayez Kamal Shaladan This study aims at enhancing the Islamic attributes in the secondary schools in Gaza provinces. The researcher used the descriptive analytical method . the study’s population reaches 9870 male and female students. Also, the sample of the study reaches 520 students. To achieve the objectives of the study the researcher used two tools which are: a questionnaire composed of 43 items distributed in three areas i.e. the religious , the moral and the social fields. To verify the authenticity of the questionnaire , it was applied upon 50 male and female students. The second tool which was used is an interview made with some specialists in the religious studies in order to improve the role of teachers in enhancing the Islamic attributes in their students. Moreover, the deductive method is used by getting the Islamic traits from the Holy Quran. The researcher, also, used the statistic methods as : Pearson correlation coefficient, Cronbach's alpha coefficient, retail mid-term coefficient , frequencies, percentage, standard deviation , T test and one-criterion variance analysis. The study comes up with the following results: 1- The degree of religious studies teachers in promoting the Islamic traits in secondary schools in the provinces of Gaza reaches (84.40%); means their influence was in a large degree. 2- The religious attributes has the first degree since it reaches 86.60% while the social attributes have 84.40%) whereas the moral attributes ranked the third with a percentage 82.20%). خ 3- There are statistic differences in the sample’s members opinions about the role of the religious studies teachers in promoting the Islamic traits due to sex difference in which female score the most except in the religious traits. 4- There are no statistics differences in the sample members’ evaluation in the religious studies teachers in enhancing the Islamic traits regarding the variety of the region or major or the GPA. - And the corresponding results on ways to develop the role of the teacher: 1. The need to include Islamic Education Textbooks personal attributes insured. 2. the need to represent the personal attributes locked in a personal teacher to be a role model for requested. In the light of such results, the researcher comes up with some recommendations: 1- Teachers are necessarily recommended to keep on their role in enhancing the Islamic traits and trying to develop them to the fullest. 2- Familiarizing students with the biography of the prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him) and urging them make him their model. 3- Encouraging students to follow up the holy Quran trying to memorize and study it for it would help them their daily life and their afterlife as well. 4- The teacher has to be a model for his students making them follow his guidance . 5- Connecting the curriculum vocabularies with the students daily life to make it easier to applied. |
