Abstract

Abstract Zakat play an important role in economic and social life, and this along with other functions in the fight against poverty, as well as an increase in per capita income as zakat working on redistribution of income between the rich and the poor. The study aimed to find out the role of Zakat in the redistribution of national income in the Sudan, as well as the study aimed to achieve justice in the distribution of income by the Islamic regime, and also study aimed to find out the scientific and legal developments in the Office of Zakat. May follow researcher descriptive approach, historical and analytical approach, the researcher has adopted the collection of information and data necessary to complete the research on primary and secondary sources. Has included this research three chapters, the first dealing with them: the concept and the types of Zakat and objectives of economic and social impact, while in second chapter: Zakat obstacle to the distribution of national income, while in the third chapter dealt with: the impact of Zakat in the re-distribution of national income application on Sudan for years: (2003, 2012). The study found that for Zakat role in the redistribution of income in favor of the poor in the community, as well as the contribution of the Zakat Chamber in relieving some of the burden on the poor and needy through the projects presented by the Zakat Chamber. The study also demonstrated the evolution of the Zakat Chamber of legislative and administrative side as well as find some suggestions to ease the burden on poor families.
