dc.description.abstractAbstract The thesis discuses about procurement purchasing policies in service organizations. Case study: International University of Africa. Stated period (2000-2010 AD). The objective of this research generally is to highlight the true role of the procurement policies of the organizations service and how to achieve their objectives efficiently and effectively. I have been using the descriptive analytical and historical methodologies through references and interviews, as included in the three chapters: - Chapter one: It deals with the nature of procurement in terms of management and its goals, stages of selection and sources. Also includes the motivation of procurement in terms of importance, function and the dependence of the organizational level of the procurement function. Then addresses the types of purchase policies, risks, and factors which circumscribed the use of the procurement policy in advance. Then the assessment of the performance and functionally purchase, and the factors influencing the selection of sources procurement. - Chapter II: discuses service organizations and types in terms of the concept of organizations, management and output of scientific management and the foundation around the classification of organizations. The classification is based on area of power, on the basis of the type of authority, on the type of activity, and classification on the basis of field activity, and the basis of dependency. - Chapter III: It displays the International University of Africa, in terms of establishment and development, university boards and to highlight the components, organizational structure, regional offices and subsidiary organs.en_US
