| Abstract: | The most important objectives of the study, seek to achieve the following:- Identifying deficiencies and weaknesses in the syllabus of Islamic education in informal Quran schools in Maradi town. Developing that syllabus by converting it from a traditional syllabus to a modern syllabus suitable for the present age through the results of this research. Knowing the suitability of those syllabi with the level of the pupils and their mental abilities The researcher used the analytical method. Results:- The syllabus of Islamic education in private schools in Maradi has high efficiency to achieve the objectives of the Islamic education. Content of the Islamic education syllabus in Maradi town is commensurate with the pupils’ preparedness. Content of the Islamic education syllabus for grade one in the informal Quran schools helps in combating cultures which are contrary to Islam. Recommendations: Those in charge of education affairs in Niger should take care of Quran education just as they take care of French and Arabic educations. The researcher also recommends that the Niger community which has always taken care of these schools for so many years should improve her methods so that they can resist cultures which contradict the Islamic teachings. Carrying out a lot of trainings for the informal Quran school teachers. |
