Abstract: ABSTRACT This research deals with the issue of getting rid of nuclear medical waste through the state: the National Center for radiotherapy and nuclear medicine study (corn Hospital - Khartoum State) and knew Find Atomic medical waste and dealt with in terms of the field of study and specialization and exposure to disasters and the effects of including through improper disposal operations without following international standards so as defined by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the International Atomic Energy Agency. This research deals with the study bases used in the atomic medical waste management and processed in the light of the foundations and internationally recognized standards to verify the hypothesis proposed in the search and that its content not matching the foundations in place for the disposal of nuclear waste in the medical Sudan to those standards. Followed by research in this approach the situation that has been applied in the National Center for radiotherapy and nuclear medicine study (corn Hospital) through field work conducted in the form of a questionnaire with personal interviews, in addition to observation and viewing what requires the analytical method, and access to the knowledge of disaster produced and the effects of atomic medical waste, the next use of the descriptive approach until the data and reformatted link in the form of logical information, to be used in the review of Atomic medical waste management and disposal, in addition to the review of the history of radioactive materials in the country with the beginning of the history of the application of nuclear medicine and treatment atomic radiation in the Sudan and his role in it. The study concluded through field work to get rid of the Atomic medical waste in Sudan and specifically the National Center for radiotherapy process does not take place according to the principles and internationally accepted standards. Which validates the hypothesis, which was established by the study. Found during the study that a suitable system for the management of nuclear medical waste at the National Center for radiotherapy and nuclear medicine 'with the lack of awareness and a clear concept of the meaning of medical waste and nuclear risks to most employees at the center' and the lack of proper separation of medical waste Atomic for Ama'ma waste no mechanism and a means suitable for processes of collecting, sorting, classification and storage of nuclear medical waste until the safe disposal Mnha'kma non-existent infrastructure so 'nor are waste treatment center and is disposed of in landfill sites and is not suitable for this purpose' The most important and the key recommendations was the need for environmental management systems for safe disposal of nuclear medical waste at the National Center for radiotherapy and medicine Alnowi'dharorh provide the infrastructure for the management of medical waste 'need to set department and a supervisory medical waste center bears the responsibility for the direct supervision of the collection, sorting, classification and transfer of medical waste operations Atomic with training and rehabilitating and upgrading the capacity of workers Bantrz'dharorh raise awareness and health education in the medical waste and safe disposal management. Activating the role of the community and stakeholders and relevant bodies through the means of communication, information and awareness of the dangers of nuclear medical waste 'activation of legislation and existing laws with the introduction of a new law on medical waste Atomic and tighten punishment irregularities in the management' study the possibility of the application of technology in earnest and the use of global models in atomic medical waste management.
