Abstract: This study aims at recognizing the problems that are facing the pupils of the seventh form at the basic stage in Mathematics subject and to know the reasons of these problems and so suggest some solutions. This study has been applied on a sample of male and female teachers at the basic stage in Khartoum Province – Khartoum Locality – Khartoum East unit and their number is 50 teachers chosen randomly. Also this study has been applied on 110 pupils 10% of the population. The researcher used two questionnaires to collect data, one for the teachers and the other for the pupils. After collecting the data, the researcher used the SPSS programme to analyze the data so as to gain some results and this was done by using of a number of statistical analysis, such as T test and ANOVA. The researcher has reached to a number of findings, the most important are: - The pupils of the 7th form suffer from different problems concerning the understanding of Math – subject. - These problems caused by the following reasons : o The shortage of using the suitable instructional aids in teaching this subject. o The feeling of frighten towards the subject. - From the suggestions to solve these problem which face the pupils at the 7th form in Math-subject: to erase the negative concepts towards math, to connect the Math subject with the realistic life, training teachers in using the educational aids, especially those which are derived from the local environment. The most important recommendations are: - Educational supervisors have to co-operate with the teachers in limiting the important problems which the pupils suffer from in Math subject, so as to complete its study and to find suitable solutions. - To activate the role of supervision and the guidance to overcome the remained fear in the pupils towards Math. - Co-operation is a must between the supervisors and the teachers in registering the observations about the curriculums, so that it can be studied by the specialists and to treat the weak areas in the syllabus. - To train the teacher to produce the aids from the pupils environment to prepare the educational equipment and also the special programmes concerning Mathematics.
