Abstract: The reception of this study is the effectiveness of the instructional units method and its role to raise the standard of study achievement in Arabic language for the pupils of the fifth form, base stage. The problem of this study concentrated on the spread of spelling mistakes and the lack of literary courage. This study aims at knowing –to what extend- is the effectiveness of instructional units in Arabic language. The significance of this study that it helps in overcoming these problems by using the instructional units method. This study was applies in Khartoum province. The researcher followed the descriptive approach to highlight on instructional – units method by defining it and its characteristics. The tool of this research, is the questionnaire to collect information. The population of this study is the male – teachers and female- teachers for the fifth form, base stage, it is composed of 50. The researcher has reached to the following results: 1- The instructional – units method gives the greatest motivation to the students in educational achievement. 2- The instructional-units method develops the power of analysis and thinking. 3- A great number of experts agree that the instructional – units method helps the pupils to gain literary courage. 4- A great number of experts agree that the instructional units method give treatment to writing mistakes (spelling). The researcher recommends the following: 1- to continue training teachers and qualify them in a positive way coping the burst of knowledge. 2- To increase the number of teachers’ training rounds. 3- To encourage the pupils in positive participation and rewarding them. 4- To train teachers in practising in instructional - activities which are connected with the subject.
