| Abstract: | This study entitled: The Effect of Work Ethics on Improving Performance (with especial reference to Sudanese Banks, Bank of Sudan; Northern Islamic Bank 2005-2014). It aimed at the followings: Knowing the role of work ethics in Performance’s improvement, the extent to which Sudanese bank workers are aware to the job duties, examining the work ethics through the awareness of job’s duties and rights and managerial and social responsibility. Stating the importance of work ethics in Sudanese banks, clarifying the domains of improvement and modification process and setting priorities to implement these domains regarding managers or the individual worker or the general working environment. The descriptive and analytical approach was employed, and a questionnaire was utilized for data collection. The work ethics of Sudanese bankers like honesty and work with patience can effect on promoting of bank services . And that is remedy of bankers loyalty to their banks may also lead to work promotion . Beside some reasons may weaken the bankers work ethics .Good behavior ,the laws and regulations can help the bankers to sustain and maintain the work ethics. Nmj. The most important recommendations reached by the study are that : the work ethics is a need for the bankers to promote their performance through training in that area beside evaluating them in interval periods.On the other side, the banks has to choose excellent managers and good cadres in order to be predecessors to their subordinators.The banks has to awaken the awareness of their workers and urge them to self control beside continuous administration control.The banks has to affirm a link between laws and regulations in Sudanese banks and work ethics , and they have to develop and effective system to control executing of laws and promoting the who is responsible to abide by. |
