أولويات الإصلاح الاجتماعي في ضوء منهج القرآن الكريم :محافظة موروغورو التنزانية نموذجا

Abstract

This research aims to prove the existence of priorities in the Holy Quran and Sunnah explaining Quran methodological approach in social reform by educating Muslims in Morogoro district on the importance of being serious in their daily life on social reform taking into account the priorities as per the approach of the Holy Quran, as executed by the Prophet peace and blessings be upon him in reforming the first generation in his time. In the research, it was discovered that the word “priorities” in its plural form was neither mentioned in the Holy Qur’an nor in the Sunnah in specific, but it appeared in its singular form “ priority” and superlative forms in diversity versions and in several places both in the Qur’an and the Sunnah. The research revealed that problems facing Morogoro natives are due to deterioration in ethics, education and economy because of their negligent and lenient to use Qur’an and Sunnah in their lives. The researcher relied on descriptive and historical method by extrapolating, analyzing and reviewing books and literatures written by Muslim scholars relevant to the subject . He also conducted a field study by visiting the residents and interviewing few of them. Thus the information obtained was evaluated, analyzed hence results obtained to be used in reforming Morogoro society in specific and any society with similar futures in general. The research consists of six chapters and a conclusion. The first chapter discusses basics of research divided into three main sections. The first section comprises of the introduction, reason for choosing the topic, statement of the problem and its importance. Followed by the second section, which includes the contribution of the proposal in human thought, research questions, hypothesis, objectives of the research and literature review. The last section comprises of research methodology, limits of the research, research terms, tools, and structure. The second chapter deals with the historical profile of Tanzanian state in general and Morogoro district in specific as a case study for social reform. The third chapter sheds light on theoretical aspects of the concept of reform priorities in the Holy Qur’an. In chapter four, the researcher concentrated on the fields in which social reforms has to take place in Morogoro district. Chapter five, the researcher discussed about basic rules and regulations to be observed in social reforms. And in the final chapter, he discussed the impact of reform on individuals and the society. Then he concluded his research with research results and recommendations
