Abstract

The research has tackled the most important issue of the future of the Sudanese socity in the 1960s – namely – The nature of the Sudanese culture and its originality. Its titled the Forest and the desert in the in the Sudan . The research has encountered this issue under the social , cultural and political . This has led to birth of the title . the desert and the forest which is a literary group which has concerned its elf with the cultural heritage of the Sudanese society . From the poets the research has taken some pillars of the 1960s – namely . 1- M.Abdalhay . 2- N.Osman Abbaker . 3- S.Ahmed Ibrahim . Except for muhi Eddein Faris who has appeared in the 1950s . I have mentioned him here for comparison reasons . The researcher has arrived in her study through analysing the works of these pillars that these are identical as far as the naure ( the symptons ) and the subject matter of their writings especially between the poet Mohamed Elmekki and the others poets : 1- The tacking the nationality . 2- The language used . 3- Religion . 4- Citizenship . These poets have contributed effectively in the development and modernization of the Sudanese poetry and have added to it from their own . This school has evoked different views some of which ar supportive and the others are against it . some think that it is a secret way which precedes the appearance of the Islamic state . Those have build their view when they have studied the poem . ( The return to sennar ) by . Mohammed Abdalhay . Some others have considered the school as atrial to fight or stand against the spread of the Islamic Arabic culture . There are numerous ideas about this new school. and still the appearance of this school evokes arguments . In the researcher's point of view that this new school is meant to be an invitation to recognize the ethnic diversity of the Sudanese society, more over, the researcher thinks that the adoption of the realistic method has been means or away for the fulfillment of referred Sudanese prospects ( aims ) . They also consider it as assort of participating the African issues . which Africa has been suffering from in the 1960s.
