Abstract

This study .discussed the modern technology and its effect on the mass media, with reference to the Sudanese broadcasting from 2009 to 20 11 through the use of a survey approach to the phenomenon. The study include four chapters; the first methodological framework, and the second communication technology through four topics dealt with the historical development of communication technology, then contact the radio, and interactive communication, and finally influence communication. The third chapter titled Broadcast technology, including three sections dealt with radio transmission methods, and direct coverage of events, and the development of mass media, including the press, cinema, television and the Internet. The fourth chapter, which was devoted to the case study, has included the development of the Sudanese Broadcast from the corner of field techniques and meetings which include the results and recommendation of the study and conclusion The study found that the Sudanese Broadcast does not have a digital library in the scientific sense, did not finish the archiving process permanently. The study demonstrated the effectiveness of technology in improving the radio work in all its aspects. And makes sure that the Sudanese radio benefited greatly from the use of digital technology, it has appeared in the output and production of many high-quality Broadcast programs. The patch broadcasting has been proven through the study, it has increased significantly has established Radio Omdurman riches sites on the Internet and used satellite networks, making it audible in all parts of the world. The Sudanese Broadcast also benefited from modern technology to convert its entire analogue to digital devices. The study improved that there is a lack of interaction in the transfer of live events on the regional and international levels, due to the high cost of transportation, which seeks to find broadcasting decisive solutions using the same modern technological channels. At the end of the study the researcher stated some recommendations emphasizing on the radio station to take interest on the regional and international events as far as the modern channels of network opened ways to interact with others. The radio station is supposed to take care of the digital library so as to save the Sudanese heritage. At the same time the radio station should utilize the technology of satellites and other networks of communication for the sake of more production of programs. These programs should include the direct translation of life events. The radio station is also obliged to develop its dealing with the call inns through the phone channels and to add other languages rather than the Arabic as an English and France to the service of the web sides.
