| Abstract: | This research is entitled "The Center for the Formation of Scholars in Mauritania and its Educational Contributions to the Mauritanian Society - An Evaluation Study". The researcher used descriptive and historical methods, and the aim of this research is to identify the objectives of the Center, the study levels, the curricula as well as its educational contributions in Mauritanian society. The questionnaire was used as the tool for data collection, and the researcher prepared it with google forms before sending it to the sample selected. The researcher has reached the following results after careful analysis and discussion of data collected: The objectives of the Center are clear, and these objectives are : The Center sought to form and prepare sincere religious scholars, likewise the spreading of islamic laws and shariah, and the study levels for this Centre are preparatory level, secondary, university and postgraduate. Likewise the Center has many educational contributions which have been observed in the Mauritanian society, including: the opportunity to educate various members of the Mauritanian society, the organization of educational trips to all over the country, as well as the teachers from the Center providing religious programs in the Mauritanian medias to arise national awareness, and clear moral impacts in Mauritanian society. Finally the researcher recommended the following: The Centre should consider the opening of other branches in different regions in Mauritania and abroad in other Islamic countries, as well as the addition of other subjects like humanities and literary which are not found in the current curricula and furthermore the Centre should cope with the new teaching methods, and the use of technology to adjust with the reality of the new millennium. |
