Abstract

This study dealt with the role of occupational safety in reducing risks in industrial establishments and to identify the extent application of safety procedures and commitment by employees so this study aimed at spreading the concept of occupational safety among workers in industrial establishments and that adherence to these concepts is a behavior among the employees in the performance of their duties in addition to raising the awareness of the workers so as to avoid accidents to protect the industrial establishments, workers and means of production. this study conducted on the bahri thermal station-khartoum state as a case study. Analytical descriptive method was used in this study through the corresponding questions to obtain information through the means of collecting primary and secondary information. The data were then analyzed and presented in tables containing percentages and graphs. The most important results of this study are the interest of the responsible authorities in developing the concept of occupational and environmental safety in the in industrial establishments in a clear way, which has been reflected in the performance of the workers during the past years and the low rate of production in large quantities. The training in the field of occupational safety and security in the industrial environment reduces the risks hinder the achievement of the objectives of productive facilities, and contribute to the development of possible solutions to failures, which lead to the solution and reduce these faults and work safety units to provide daily, weekly and monthly reports to assess public safety ,and there is no doubt that industrial establishments are not free of occupational and health risks if that is due to the worker or malfunction in the production tool. The most important recommendations of the study are as follows: the necessity of directing workers to maintain the safety equipment for their safety until the process of thermal generation is successful ,responsible authorities should establish health centers within the industrial establishments for emergencies in cases of accidents or work injuries and reduce the cases of illness
