Abstract

The researcher entails the topic ''THE COMPARISM AND CONTRAST BETWEEN IMAM SAM'ANIY'S INTERPRETATION OF QUR'AN AND IMAM BAGHAWI'S INTERPRETATION OF QUR'AN WITHIN THE THIRD JUZ'U OF THE QUR'AN''. Comparative study of Scholars of Interpretation is among the most important areas of research; this will help in determining the methodology of Qur’an interpreters, especially here in Sam'aniy's interpretation that is among the great scholars of Interpretation and Baghawi's Interpretation of Qur'an which is among the relied book in terms of Orthodox Qur’an interpretation. The research has the following objectives; Biography of the two Imams; Sam'aniy and Baghawiy, the comparative study of their mythology of Qur’an Interpretation, and extraction of the benefits from their Interpretation, then helping the society in understanding the value of their Interpretation. The research problem entails the in availability of the comparative research of Sam'aniy and Baghawiy's Interpretation, and owing to the fact that it is a comparative research on this field and the need for clarification and explanation the points of similarities and difference in their methodology. Among the main goals achieved by the researcher are; 1. Summarization of Imam Sam'aniy of verses and not taking hid on unnecessary aspects. 2. Align always with Masha of Imam Shafi'i on Islamic jurisprudence and preferring of Imam Shafi'i's opinion over others. 3. Reliance on the aspect of Arabic Grammar and proofing with it the aspect of Arabic Grammar and proofing with Arabic poems in explanation of some words. 4. Aligning with Abi Ishaq At-tha'alibiy in his book AL-KASSHAF, and explaining what he benefit from it of most of the verses. 5. It became clear to the researcher from this research that Imam Baghawiy benefits a lot and have been impacted by the author of MA'ALIMIL TANZIL of Sam'aniy's Interpretation and the clarification and explanation. Imam Baghawiy has extensively explained the hadith narrations with its authentic chain of transmission, different reasons for revelation of verses, and the researcher follows comparative, analytic approach, and also follows what the two interpreters in the interpretation of verses in the research comparing and contrasting them. The research recommends in paying attention on Qur'anic studies especially compares between the interpretations because it’s a very important area. Also, the researcher should abstain from blind following of Scholars and desire following, and he should be patient, and should think of encompassing (the research). And to Allah Whom He will guide (us).
